Refinishing Advantages
Price: Sanding and refinishing your hardwood flooring is much more affordable than opting for new flooring altogether!

Aesthetics: Worn, faded flooring is given new life through sanding and refinishing. You can even select a new stain color.

Value: Any real estate broker will tell you that home buyers love to see beautifully sanded solid hardwood. This is a big advantage when your property hits the market.

Safety: Sanding and refinishing reduces the likelihood that your hardwood will crack and splinter. This makes it safer for children, pets, and other family members to walk barefoot without the risk of injury.

Cleanliness: Finished hardwood flooring collects little dust. What debris it does collect is easy to clean with a dry mop or a manufacturer-approved cleaning solution for hard-surface flooring.

How Does The Refinishing Process Work?
Before we start any work, Our pros will seal cabinets with a delicate surface of blue tape and seal all doorways with plastic. Every refinishing job is done with a dustless system, which collects about 90% of the dust. Some dust will get into the air while sanding the flooring. We follow the NWFA Guidelines, which state the following standard processes: We will sand the hardwoods to the raw wood with a rough sand paper, fill all the gaps and holes with an appropriate wood filler, and then sand with a fine-grit sand paper. Once the floor is sanded and clean, we start by applying a stain of your choice or a sealant.

The stain color or sealant you choose will really bring out the beauty and character of the wood grain. This stage is exciting because that’s when you really get to see your floor’s personality. After the stain and sealant are dry, we finish the floor with two applications of a durable topcoat. Additionally, we screen, buff, and vacuum between finishing coats for the absolute best results possible. This final process will protect your hardwood floor from normal wear and tear. You can choose from several different finishes, ranging from low luster to high gloss. It’s really up to you and your individual preferences. With proper care, the finish will last for years to come. And don’t forget, when your floor is looking a little dull, give us a call, and we can come to refresh it professionally. Finally, there’s an easy and convenient way to restore the luster to your hardwood floor and make it look like new!
